Professional Binding

Mary has just printed off a 75 page document, which needs to be presented to some potential clients this afternoon. She rushes to the staple machine, pumps two into the upper left corner, and delivers it to your desk. On your return from lunch, you sit at your desk, and notice just how ghastly and unprofessional those staples look. “There must be a nicer way of presenting this”, you think to yourself. Well, there is. Its a stationery item called a binding machine, and it picks up the task of collating papers and documents from where the stapler left off.
No doubt you have received a bound document sometime in your life. It is much more aesthetically pleasing than a metal clip slammed through the edges. However, it does come at a price. You will see when you go to place your next office supplies order, that a binding machine is relatively expensive compared to the humble stapler. Additionally, you will need to order the binding rings that hold the papers together – an additional cost. For this reason, it is up to you to weight the potential costs and benefits of each option, and then decide on the stationery item which is best for your workplace and budget.
