Easy Printing And The Lexmark Optra T610 / Lexmark Optra T610 Toner
The Lexmark Optra T610 is a printer from a number of years ago that provided an excellent balance between power and ease of use. While, currently, most printers are suitable for either office or home use, the user-friendly and versatile Lexmark Optra T610 was built to accommodate both. This is a rarity these days, which is why the Lexmark Optra T610 paired with the Lexmark Optra t610 toner is such a gem. If you’re lucky enough to find one online or for sale second hand, it is a terrific investment.
Speaking of ease of use, the Lexmark Optra T610 was simple to install (in about five minutes, on average, including installing the software and the toner cartridge) and functional in design. Its square shape made it easy to fit in even the tightest areas, and it was also compact enough to carry around to different locations. The toner cartridge was so noted for its ease of installation that it became one of the hallmarks that drew people back to the printer over and over again.
So much for the ease of use; now let’s talk about the power features. The Optra T610 had a paper tray which holds a respectable 350 sheets. Even more impressive was that the printer could also accept as many as three extra paper trays, giving you the possibility of 2,000 sheets. This truly was a printer that could serve dual duty, at home and at the office. That means, of course, that it worked well for a home office, too, or for the person at work who never mastered a lot of high-tech accessories.
The printer could potentially print as much as 15 pages a minute, although 12 per minute was more typical. As you print, you experienced few delays. There was the occasional paper jam, as with any printer. However, it was easy to extract the offending paper, thanks to a simple front-opening design.
The print resolution was a crisp 1200 by 1200 dpi, and printed well on a variety of paper or card stock, including transparencies and envelopes.
The T610 supported a variety of operating systems, including Maciontosh, UniX, oS/2, and Windows 95/98 and Windows NT. Unfortunately, as we head into the Windows 7 era, support for the T610 might begin to fade away. But if you still have an older machine, you could do worse than this printer.
The power behind the Lexmark Optra T610 happened to be in its Lexmark Optra t610 toner. It used a standard toner cartridge which, on average, produced about 10,000 pages with a life cycle of about 65,000 pages per month.
